Quorn Juniors Football Club - A History

The club was formed in 1982 by a group of parents who wanted to provide children in Quorn the opportunity to learn and play football.

At 20:00hrs on Wednesday 14th July 1982 a meeting at the Quorn Conservative Club was convened and Quorn Juniors FC was formed. The inaugural committee was formed with elected officers, team mangers and parent members. The clubs rules and code of conduct were formulated and our first team of Under 11’s entered into the Coalville Sunday Youth League and County Cup.

This small start formed the basis of the club today, and for a small village the growth witnessed from this start has been phenomenal.

The 1983/84 season witnessed two teams entered into the Leicester League at under 10 and under 11, and now in the 2017/2018 season we field 22 teams in total ranging from our development section of Under 7’s (non competitive) up to and including Under 17’s.

We attained FA Charter Standard and now provide in excess of 400 children and young adults the opportunity to learn and play the best game in the world.

From our inception our primary intention has been to make being a member of the club enjoyable and fun. In addition to playing regular league football the club organises annual trips to top football matches, participation in national tournaments, and finally the whole club effort in organising and running probably the best six a side tournament in the county - The Quornanment
